Common problems when using Studielink

You may encounter problems when using Studielink’s upgraded website.
We have listed the most common problems below, together with the steps you can take to rectify them. Please note: don’t create a new account!

  1. If you see the message ’data is being loaded…’,
    - Try logging in on a different PC/device with a different network.
    - Make sure Javascript is enabled in your web browser. You can find out how to do this here.
    - Clear your cookies and cache. Then close all tabs and restart your browser.
  2. If you see the message 'No access. You do not have permission to access this page’, click on OK. You can then continue.
  3. If you haven’t received an email containing an activation link and you use web.de/gmx.de/qq.com, create a new email address (Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail etc.) and let your (prospective) educational institution know you have done so. This is because messages to and from web.de/gmx.de/qq.com are blocked by the email provider.
  4. If you are logging in for the first time with a username and password created before 1 October 2018 and login is unsuccessful, please contact your (prospective) educational institution.
  5. If you’ve received an activation email but the link doesn’t work when you click on it, in most cases your account will have been activated. So try logging in with your email address and password.
  6. If you’re trying to terminate your enrolment and you get the message ‘there is already an account for this email address’, please contact the educational institution. They can terminate your enrolment for you.
