Studielink requests various personal details needed by DUO and/or the institution for higher education for your application and enrolment. This is largely prescribed by law. However, not all questions are regulated by law. That's why, in a number of cases, you need to grant explicit permission for the use, forwarding or verification of your details. This question is asked several times in the wizard. It concerns the following details:

With the establishment of Studielink, the written application and enrolment is replaced with an electronic application and enrolment. To make this possible, Studielink needs to ascertain your identity beforehand. The identity and personal details of students not resident in the Netherlands will be verified by the institution of higher education where they wish to study.

Finally, we request your attention for the following matters. The questions posed in Studielink are partially legally prescribed, and partially determined by the institutions. Studielink is not liable for the questions posed by the institutions.

Please be sure to answer all questions truthfully, otherwise your application and enrolment will not be successful and you will not be able to enter higher education. Moreover, if you fail to answer the questions truthfully, Studielink is not liable for the possible consequences thereof.

Studielink is secured against unlawful use or abuse by users or third parties. Studielink retains the right to hold accountable parties attempting to use Studielink unlawfully or to abuse it.

The Studielink site is constructed with the greatest possible care. Nonetheless, Studielink cannot be held liable for possible errors, nor can any rights be derived from its contents. Rights can only be derived from the formal decisions of a higher education institution or of DUO regarding enrolment or registration, not from the information displayed by Studielink.

This site provides links offering access to Internet sites and information resources maintained by third parties. Studielink cannot be held liable for the consequences of using these Internet sites or information resources.

Studielink is secured against unlawful use or abuse by users and third parties. If, through circumstances beyond control, unlawful use or abuse nevertheless occurs, Studielink cannot be held liable for ensuing damages. Users include: (staff members of) higher education institutions, students, prospective students, and (employees of) DUO.

It is your responsibility to keep your user name and password confidential. Studielink is not liable for the consequences of their unlawful use by another party.
